Two CCOHS Technical Experts to Present at HSE Canada 2012 Event

 

 

HAMILTON, ON (September 26, 2012) – Two technical experts from the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), Dhananjai Borwankar and Sandra Clark, will be giving presentations at the upcoming HSE Canada- Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Conference and Trade Show, on October 3 and 4, 2012, in Toronto, Ontario.

Presentation: Working Through the Risks of Manual Materials Handling

Speaker: Dhananjai Borwankar

As an expert in the elimination, reduction and controls of hazards for Canadian workplaces, Dhananjai Borwankar will discuss the five major factors that contribute to musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) as a result of manual materials handling (MMH) activities. His presentation will offer relevant case studies and practical assessment tools to organizations interested in reducing the physical demands associated with manual materials handling activities—one of the major causes of the majority of MSD claims in Canada.

As a Technical Specialist, Information Projects at CCOHS, Sandra will discuss reliable sources of health information on the Internet and what to look for when solving workplace health issues.
