	The BCTSC’s mandate includes consulting with the industry, developing measurable prevention interventions, and facilitating a Certificate of Recognition program for the trucking industry.
	Canada's Healthy Workplace Month (CHWM)
	Canada's Healthy Workplace Month (CHWM) is designed to introduce workplace health to Canadian organizations and to support those who are already on the journey. CHWM is managed by the National Quality Institute (NQI) in collaboration with the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), and is presented by The Great-West Life Assurance Company.
	Community Against Preventable Injuries
	More British Columbians under the age of 45 are killed each year by preventable injuries than any other cause. The Community Against Preventable Injuries is committed to change; providing the tools to reduce injury in your community. They have developed a provincial, multi-media, multi-touchpoint social marketing campaign designed to make British Columbians aware of the magnitude of the issue and the multitude of situations where injuries can be prevented.
	National Day of Mourning
	Observed annually on April 28th, the National Day of Mourning commemorates workers who have been injured, killed or suffer illness as a result of occupational accidents and hazards. This day of observance was instituted upon the passing into legislation of the Workers Mourning Day Act in December 1990. Since that time, various events are organized each year by labour organizations across the country are to express remembrance for the family, friends and colleagues who have suffered in carrying out workplace duties.
	North American Occupational Health and Safety Week
	NAOSH Week is an annual initiative led by the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC), in concert with North American partners in Mexico and the United States.

	Safe-In-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Award
	Safe-in-Sound is a new award for excellence in hearing loss prevention being offered by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA).
	The John Petropoulos Memorial Fund
	The John Petropoulos Memorial Fund (JPMF) creates partnerships which strive to eliminate preventable workplace fatalities and injuries to emergency services personnel. In the spirit of John’s dedication to helping make his community a safer place, the JPMF promotes the message to the public that workplace safety for emergency services workers is a shared responsibility. When communities work together, many risks to these workers can be minimized.
	Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association
	The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) is the leading organization dedicated to cooperative occupational safety, health and environmental management systems. The VPPPA is a member-based association, providing a network of over 1,600 companies and worksites that are involved in or in the process of applying to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) or the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) and other government agencies that are developing or implementing cooperative recognition programs.

	Prix innovation en santé et sécurité du travail
	Le Prix innovation en santé et sécurité du travail est un concours tenu dans les différentes régions du Québec. Il permet aux travailleurs et aux employeurs de faire connaître les initiatives qu’ils prennent – moyens de prévention novateurs, adaptation d’équipement ou méthodes de travail sécuritaires – pour éliminer les dangers présents dans leur milieu de travail.
	Réponses SST
	Ce service gratuit est offert par le Service des demandes de renseignements du Centre canadien d'hygiène et de sécurité au travail (CCHST). Le mandat du CCHST est de promouvoir la santé et la sécurité des lieux de travail en fournissant de l'information pratique en réponse aux questions qui s'y posent.
	Semaine nord-américaine de la sécurité et de la santé au travail
	La Semaine nord-américaine de la sécurité et de la santé au travail est une activité annuelle menée par la Société canadienne de la santé et de la sécurité au travail (SCSST), en collaboration avec le Centre canadien d'hygiène et de sécurité au travail (CCHST), Ressources humaines et Développement des compétences Canada (RHDCC), de concert avec les partenaires nord-américains du Mexique et des États-Unis.
