  Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System: Official National Site
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is Canada's national hazard communication standard. The key elements of the system are cautionary labeling of containers of WHMIS "controlled products", the provision of material safety data sheets (MSDSs) and worker education and training programs.

Serving over 14,000 employers and approximately 12,000 injured workers, the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission is an employer-funded no fault insurance system that promotes safe and healthy workplaces, provides return-to-work programs and fair compensation to injured workers and their dependents.
 
  Workplace Safety and Health: Manitoba Labour and Immigration
The Division administers seven Acts and associated Regulations dealing with the health and safety of workers, protection of the public from unsafe mechanical and electrical equipment and fuel-burning appliances in buildings, and the licensing of tradespersons in the Province. La Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST) est l'organisme auquel le gouvernement du Québec a confié l'administration du régime de santé et de sécurité du travail. Le régime de santé et de sécurité du travail résulte d'un large consensus qui a donné lieu au contrat social liant plus de deux millions de travailleurs et travailleuses et leurs employeurs. En vertu de ce contrat, les victimes d'une lésion professionnelle sont indemnisées.
